CONTROLLING EXCESSIVE SOUNDSound attenuation, or the limiting of sound resonating from one area to another, requires the application of special insulation materials to encase or enclose the noise-generating source, forming a sound barrier between the source and the surrounding area.
We install a range of materials such as absorbers, blankets and filters that control and deaden measurable excessive noise caused by pipelines, enclosures, machines, equipment, or other manufacturing process in industrial plants. We can also reduce the general noise level in plant areas, with the use of curtain-like materials, for example, to provide better work conditions that comply with the noise level standards (85db) of OSHA and the EPA. Sound absorbers can be soft, porous, open-celled materials such as foam sheets or fiberglass blankets and baffles that reduce the reflection of sound waves. For example, consider the simple situation of containing the volume of a loud television in a large school classroom – we can prevent the sound from affecting adjacent classrooms by adding matting and filters to the ducts without influencing or affecting the temperature in the classroom.
